I met that girl in L.A, i was 13 years old then, and a day i went on the beach with my parents, i saw a girl that a boy called "Birdy"; she was so gorgoeus i couldn't help myself to follow her, just to see what kind of girl she could be,she let the beach with bored eyes, and i remember she was looking at every boy in her sight , without hesitating , not even once, she was throwing fires from her blue sky look, and few minutes of walk later, she finally stepped in the last place i thouhgt she would. in a church, with only a bikini
, i thought, ok, that must be what they call a "california girl"....i stayed outside with an endless coke in my hand, my fingers were holding it hard for i couldn't get in the church, i was incerdibly afraid of that kind of places then, ok, i was only thirtheen, and i was sure that the Devil was hidden in there, for it is the last place god would search Him, right? + it is very silent and, oh well, you get the picture. i waited so, and the sun begans to turn my head too...i stayed on that spot of mine for the rest of the day, waiting for Birdy to come out again....when the bells rang 7 pm, i saw womens getting out of the church, in their traditional suits.....and there, the vision of my life!!! yes! Birdy , dressed just like them, walking aomng those preachers girls, i was like "stoned", mouth wide open, i dropped the coke, and there, the nones turns to me, i blushed like hell and....yes, i ran away....
when i came back to my parents, they yelled at me like i was dead when i came back, but without any photo of me with the Elvis or Cher (wait, she's not dead yet , right?
) on me, and i will always remember my first reaction, i said: " i'm sorry; i'm so sorry, i will never leave again, please daddy please!, i , yes, i will go to church everyday from now i swear!"
, yes, my father agreed, saying it was good for me , enough to stay out of trouble for an hour at least, i was so happy, but he never knew of course...... and i saw Birdy everyday from day 3 to day 17, the day before we cam back to France, and what i did the day before we came back, i will tell you another time...............
